Student and Family Meal Resources

Holly Area Schools in partnership with Chartwells School Dining will be continuing to offer FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL CHILDREN 18 years old & under and Special needs children age 26 and under.

Following Governor Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive Order, we have made the following revisions to our Meal Distribution Schedule.  Tuesday, March 24th will be our last day of the regular schedule.   

MEAL DISTRIBUTION CHANGES BEGIN WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25th

All Sites will distribute meals on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

Holly Elementary School & Meadow Lake Mobile Home Park 11:00 am – 1:00 pm 

Meal Distribution will be as follows:
Monday = 2 days of meals
Wednesday = 2 days of meals
Friday = 3 days of meals

• Look for the School Bus at all non-district school building sites. 
• Each bag will contain a breakfast and a lunch.  
• Friday’s bag will also include breakfast and lunch for the weekend.  
• Children do not need to be present for a parent to pick up their meals and do not need to be enrolled in Holly Area Schools.
• Menus will have assorted choices and will include fruit, vegetable and milk.

Jersey Mike's Subs in Fenton: The locally-owned deli is offering a special "Student Meal Deal" for $2.99. The effort is aimed at students in 1st-12th grade who are out of school because of the health crisis. The meal includes a regular sub, chips, and a drink. Customers in middle school and/or high school will be asked to show a student ID. Elementary aged children will not need to present any identification. The sub shop is located at 3409 Owen Road, Suite 100. Look for updates on Jersey Mike's facebook page.

The Barn in Fenton:  Until school resumes, they would like to offer free kids meals for anyone who is struggling to feed their K-12 children. Their doors are open with no questions asked!  Must be accompanied by an adult. Monday through Friday from 11am - 2pm.  715 Torrey Rd, Fenton, Michigan 48430.  Look for updates on The Barn facebook page.

Other Resources

Oakland County Help Hotline:  (248)-858-1000, to address non-health needs of the general public such as food or housing assistance. The hotline will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Callers with specific needs will be directed to county departments and divisions that can help or to other agencies and programs that can assist.

Lighthouse:  A Pontiac-based nonprofit dedicated to fighting homelessness and poverty, is expanding its COVID-19 emergency food distribution efforts across Oakland County to meet the urgent, increasing need for food caused by the global pandemic.

This week through the end of August, 2,000 food boxes filled with 20 pounds of perishable items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, will be distributed from St. David’s Episcopal Church in Southfield and Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clarkston to up to 1,000 households per week from each location. “Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church is grateful to be partnering with Lighthouse for this worthwhile project,” said Mission & Outreach Development Pastor Bob Hegdal. “Food insecurity is something that has no borders or lines, touching people in every community and we want to be an asset for the region in helping address this basic human need. We are committed to helping impact this issue in our community, region and beyond.”
