Welcome Back Bronchos!
August 23, 2024
Dear Broncho Students, Parents, and Staff,
We are eagerly anticipating the return of our Broncho Students for the 2024 - 2025 School Year!!
The first day of school is Monday, August 26th. This will be a half-day of school. As a reminder, all of our half-day schedules are posted on the building websites under the Schools tab at https://www.hask12.org/
It has been an incredible summer of progress at Holly Area Schools highlighted by yesterday’s special Ribbon Cutting events marking the opening of our newly renovated Holly Stadium and the new Holly High School Construction Trades Center.
Other highlights from the past couple of months include:
● CPR/First Aid Training for Principals, Administrators, and Office staff through the North Oakland County Fire Authority
● Added AEDs (automated external defibrillator) and Stop the Bleed Kits for a total of 15 AEDs and 12 Stop the Bleed Kits across the district including at our athletic complex.
● An informative Broncho Parent Camp in August providing valuable sessions for parents
● Record Breaking attendance at the 8th Annual Health & Enrollment Fair with hundreds of backpacks and school supplies distributed to young Bronchos.
● Successful Broncho Young Five/Kindergarten Jump Start events
● Zingtrain Customer Service Training for all office staff and administrators
● Great attendance at “Meet the Teacher” events
● A new parent outreach program announced at the beginning of August
● A new partnership with Care Solace to connect our families and staff with valuable mental health services and resources. I included another copy of the August 3rd letter regarding this new
partnership.
● New staff orientation
● All Staff Professional Development and Workshops
● Ongoing efforts to provide awareness on topics of student health including the announcement of next Tuesday’s parent event, Childhood 2.0.
There’s never been a better time to be a Broncho!! I am honored to be part of a Broncho community that is committed to providing students with a world-class education that prepares them for future success & careers.
Thank you for continuing to make Holly Area Schools a great place to learn and achieve!
#BronchoPride and #BronchosUnited!
Sincerely,
